ABOUT US
History of RCCG Open Heavens Fife
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (Open Heaven’s, Fife) started with a small congregation on November 16th 2006, Using rented rooms in Glenrothes (The White House Community Hall). God encouraged us with a word from Isaiah 43:18-19 that He will do a new thing. We have indeed been experiencing new things in Fife.
Testimony of our Church Building
We got information about a Church of Scotland building which was for sale on Wednesday 1st August 2012 and we quickly called and make enquiries only to be told that it might have been too late as the bidding closes in another 2 days from the time we called.
We however insisted to view the property knowing very well that with God, all things are possible. We were given the opportunity to view and quickly made a call to the Zonal coordinator as well as other senior Pastors of the opportunity that God has placed before us.
With assistance from Pastor Mark, a solicitor was arranged to submit a bid for the property and between Thursday 2nd August and 12:00 noon of Friday 3rd August, a bid was put together and submitted just a few minutes before the closure of the bid. We made a bid of £150,000 (VAT Inclusive) for a building worth well over £750,000 and with an assurance from God that it will be purchased without any mortgage.
To God be the glory, we were selected as the preferred bidder the following Monday (6th August 2012) and by God providence, all payment was made by November 2012 and Keys were handed over on Saturday 9th February 2013.
Our Special thanks to God Almighty who made all thing possible and who does NEW THINGS ALL THE TIME.
We also want to thank all the people that God used including our esteemed father in the Lord, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, The Chairman of the Mission Board, Pastor Oyitso Brown and all the Mission Board Members as well as all our Pastors who encouraged and supported us and finally all the Scottish People who supported and upheld the Godly Heritage. You will all continue to be vessels unto honour in God’s vineyard in Jesus name. Amen.
